I totally yanked this from Lindsey....

Go see her post here, and watch this awesome (short) video.  LOVE it.

Happy National Adoption Month!

p.s. Do you want to help celebrate the adoptions of hundreds of kids in Maricopa County?  November 21st is National Adoption Day at the Durango Juvenile Court and I will be there volunteering.  If you want to join in the fun (and it's basically one big par-tay) let me know and I'll get you hooked up!

Finally, more Halloween pictures.

Can you believe this is the same adorable, lovable James from this post?  Who knew he could transform into THAT? *shudder*

Who wouldn't want to stick their face in a bowl of jello?!  Really?

Haunted House! (this is the best I could get)

Crappy picture, huh?  I bet you can't even tell what it is.  Well this explains why I don't really have any pictures from the haunted house: there was so much dirt in the air that this is how the pictures came out!  And it was too dark not to use a flash.  So, no pictures.  And it also explains why I left feeling like my lungs were filled with dirt and why my throat hurt the next morning.

But enough complaining... while I have been to scarier haunted houses, I can't lie, this one had me pretty freaked out.  The best part though was LeeAnn practically clawing me everytime she got scared and the guys trying to make us go first (but no such luck) and, of course, the birth canal!   LOL.  No haunted house will ever be the same without one. Or two.

Check out how dirty my feet were when we got back to the car.....gross.  It took a while to get all the dirt off my shoes.

Why, Southwest? Why?

Why must you shame me for being "late" by tying a huge fluorescent yellow tag to my luggage with LATE in large, bold type?  Is that really necessary?  (For the record I really wasn't that late, I made my flight just fine and my luggage arrived on the same flight.  SO THERE Southwest.)

True Food

A couple weeks ago LeeAnn and I went to this yummy place at the Biltmore called True Food.  The food is organic and fresh and I am a huge fan of it!  The food was also was very pretty (as well as tasty) and sadly I didn't get a picture of my salad but I did get a picture of my totally fun drink, which was honeydew, lime, and fresh mint.  All I could really taste was the honeydew but I still liked it.  I would definitely hit this place up again!  (even though LeeAnn thinks she gave the impression we were lesbians because she got there first and said her "girlfriend" was coming to meet her, and it just seemed like a restaurant that lesbians would love)(not that I stereotype at all).

Jen's Bridal Shower.....sniff :(

Going totally out of order (I still owe more Halloween pics), here finally are some photos from Jen's bridal shower last weekend.  It was a gorgeous, perfect day to sit outside and eat yummy food on the back porch.  And shut up, who has a soft-serve ice cream machine at their house?!  That was too awesome.

Jen got some really cute gifts, the "cutest" of which I caringly spared from posting on my public blog...hehe.

Jen-- you will be missed in the Scottsdale 3rd Ward!!  I have never known anyone else to be so talented at genuine friendshipping/fellowshipping/welcoming, etc.  You filled your calling perfectly and it just won't be the same without you there.

Love you, and happy wedding on Nov. 7th!!!

Why it's weird I saw that white rabbit this morning....

No, David didn't hack into my blog.  I did in fact have my own animal sighting.  And I was in fact Alice in Wonderland tonight for Halloween.  Sadly I didn't see the white rabbit again the rest of the day!  That darn thing...

More pictures to come. But I wanted to end the agonizing suspense. :)

(if you look closely you can see my knee is taped.  I don't want to hear any "I told you so's" but my knee started bothering me this week- that's what I get for announcing I'm running the marathon)(not that it's going to stop me.  Nothing will.)
